Students at Equine Journeys do not wear uniforms but are required to wear clothing which conforms to program standards. The basic daily program attire is comprised of the following:
Blue jeans
- Snuggly fitting but not tight
- Not baggy
- Boot cut
- Sturdy and appropriate for ranching activities
- No rhinestones, manufactured tears, graffiti, etc
Western shirts
- Long sleeve is required for many activities
- Short sleeve
- Conservative design and color
- May be button or snap
- Sturdy and appropriate for ranching activities
Hat
- Cowboy style or ball cap
- No pop culture logos. Sports logos are ok.
Boots
- Sturdy and appropriate for ranching chores and activities
- Oil-tanned leather
- Walking or combination heel
Other footware
- Hiking boots
- Tennis shoes
- Shower shoes
Undergarments
- Conservative styles (no thongs, frills, etc)
- Brief or boxer style
Socks
- Wool hiking
- Cotton boot style
Coat/Jacket
- Fall/Winter- Carhartt brand- Conservative color, double zipper
- Spring/Summer- Denim style, with or without lining
Note: The program will purchase clothing, footwear (with exception of tennis shoes, which should brought to the program with the student), hygiene, and gear items locally. The cost of these items is included in the enrollment fee. This ensures that all items meet program standards and expectations. Any replacement items purchased after enrollment will be billed to your credit card.
